Flow states. That is the topic of focus for this new documentary. How does the brain make decisions at such high rates of speed? How does a climber manage to block everything else out and focus on linking moves together to climb higher and higher? I think the final product will be pretty neat!
4,500 fans came out to celebrate Shane's legacy. You too can now share the inspiration! @McConkey Movie is now on tour and available for purchase: http://win.gs/McConkey The amount of anticipation to this film in the days and hours prior to the screening on Saturday night was extremely tangible. So was the LOVE in the air. We have an awesome community here and it really was evident all weekend. A big huge thanks to Red Bull Media House and Matchstick Productions for making such an awesome movie honoring the life of my best...
JT Holmes and Timy Dutton drove out to Utah to meet up with Jesse Hall, Suz Graham, Neil Amonson and Marshal Miller in order to jump, jump and do some more jumping. This trip highlight was a creative and spontaneous balloon jump above Tooele Valley. It is ver fun what can happen with some extra altitude! The Chase shoe from Five Ten provided nice grip on the railing of the balloon basket.
Shot entirely on GoPro with early access to Squaw Valley, JT, Tim and Espen skydive to Squaw's upper mountain slopes, have some good clean fun.. and then of course, take the cable car down... but not all the way down!
It was cool to do a recorded interview with Joe over at Outside Online. Some of my answers are long, but it is cool that they were published word for word rather than writer's summary. Thanks Joe Spring and thanks for the photos Michi Portmann!
Although the award ended up going to the Harry Potter crew, we were really flattered to get nominated for a SAG award for Best Stunt Ensemble. We are crossing our fingers for a win at the Taurus awards where we are nominated in 3 categories, including Best High Stunt and Best Specialty Stunt. I will keep you posted!
