A couple of weeks ago, laying in my cottage at Traveler's Rest, I had an interesting moment of being stuck between sleep and awareness. I was literally stuck, unable to move my limbs, knowing I was nearly asleep. I remember thinking this should have worried me but I felt peacefully safe. I also knew I would eventually wake up.

It was day 3 and I was on the wall in semi-finals at the USA Sport Climbing National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia. I was only a few moves from the highpoint for the day. The last six weeks have been pretty busy for me, so I apologize for not finding time to write this sooner. My last post was about SCS regionals in May, where I placed first. After that comp, I started what we call senior project at my school, which is basically where the seniors have to go get unpaid internships for three weeks and work 80 hours on-site to experience what the real world is like. I really enjoyed my internship, which was in neurology, but it definitely took up a lot more time than I’m used...
