Whoa. What a crazy 6 months it’s been! There’s so much to talk about I don’t even know where to start! Las Vegas, Divisional, Open and Youth Nationals, Joe’s Valley, college decisions, big plans and change have been keeping me busy since November, and I’m just now finding some time to sit down and write about it.
Summer 2014 - Matt Lubar
But actually, instead of talking about the past, why don’t I talk about the future? In mid July I’ll be heading to Europe for about a month and a half to climb and take it all in. My first stop will be Rodellar, then it’ll be on to Magic Wood, and then finally to the UK! I’ll be going alone, and I’m excited to throw myself out into the world for a bit and see what happens! First, however, I’ll be getting lost in the alpine of Colorado, my all time favorite place on Earth.
When I get back from Europe, I’ll be attending Western Washington University in sunny (HA!) Bellingham, Washington! Though there isn’t a ton of climbing in the immediate area, I’ll be two hours from Squamish and three from Leavenworth, so weather permitting I’ll still be able to climb. Either way, I'm looking forward to a busy summer full of fantastic climbing!
