Following my return from Spain I flew to Colorado for a photoshoot with Rock and Ice. The chosen location was Independence Pass, a breathtakingly beautiful location near Aspen, Colorado. Independence Pass is a high-altitude region of the Colorado rockies that boasts incredibly vast ranges of granite cliffs, rolling mountains, and scattered pools of mountain run-off water. During the week, budding photographers learned from Outdoor Photography Masters, David Clifford and Keith Ladzinski. I was one of the “model subjects” for the photographers to take photos of while climbing.
The group dynamics were great and I was thoroughly impressed by the products produced from the week.
I also had a tremendous time hanging out with and meeting the Rock and Ice crew, as well as seeing my friends, and meeting new, interesting people.
While in Independence Pass we all were camping and by night watched slideshows of the days’ photos and conversed freely over American style barbeque =]
With high quality granite climbing, good energy, fun people, and a beautiful location, my experience in Colorado couldn’t have been better. I want to extend a warm thank you to the Rock and Ice Crew and FiveTen for organizing the event.
Stay tuned for the next issue of Rock and Ice in which some of these photos will be featured in print! Also, with the permission of the photographers, some of the photos will be released soon!
