Impact VXi and Impact VXi Clipless were created with the DNA of our best-selling Impact line. Both shoes feature Stealth MI6 rubber, the stickiest rubber on the circuit and provide 50-percent more shock absorption and damping than any other shoe available. The shoes are 25% lighter than the original Impact, plus our new synthetic upper with its hydrophobic foam lining prevents moisture uptake; the shoes can be immersed in mud, snow and water and then dry completely overnight.
Both the Impact VXi and Impact VXi Clipless are built on Five Ten's new biomechanical last made specifically for downhill riding. The ergonomic design supports the rider's anatomy to buffer impacts and allows the forefoot to comfortably swell on long downhill runs.
The Impact VXi is for flat pedal riders who want the benefits of riding flats without giving up the performance of clips. The upper has been slimmed down but provides more protection than the original Impact. Our sole pattern allows for nimble readjustment on the fly, and excellent traction on pedals and on the trail.
The Impact VXi Clipless is the lightest, most protective downhill SPD race shoe available. This shoe was developed with an extended "Long Line" cleat for World Champ Greg Minnaar to do one thing--WIN! By extending the cleat placement 20mm back we have allowed for more adjustment for rider preference. This allows riders who are looking for more stability the option of centering their foot on the pedal.
