Hey Joe, I've found that the Arrowheads are similar in stiffness to the VCS and possibly slightly stiffer. For a slightly downturned shoe that is pretty soft and good at smearing, I would suggest the Quantums, which are my new favs! I size my Quantums up 1-1.5 sizes from my VCS (I wear a 5.5 in VCS and 6.5 or 7 in Quantum depending on what style of climbing I'm doing).

Hi, how do you find them in turns of softness compared to the VCS? As I'm from England and a keen grit climber (so all smears and not much edging except in the quarries) but prefer a slightly downturned shoe compared to the VCS which is the daddy for the grit!

Hey Taylor, I sized my copperheads the same as my velcros, which for me is one full size down from street shoe size. Most people I know prefer 1/2 size down (esp those w a normal or greater width or volume—i have a very long, but narrow & low vol. foot.)

I currently have the FiveTen 5X. Do you know how the Arrowhead might compare? I want a more aggressive shoe...but not a super aggressively down-turned toe. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
