Slackline is infinite. I really don't think we will run out of spots to slackline, or of things to do on a slackline. This video has footage of our latest adventures in and around moab. There are multiple new highlines, some free solo action, some waterlining, and even a sneak peak at the 408m (1340ft) longline we found about 5 minutes from my house. Highlines: in order of being seen. Outlaw Tower- about 70ft tall, maybe 100+ to its base, mabybe 300 ft of elevational exposure. Accessed by climbing a chossy crack route up the west face of the tower. takes #2 & #3's. maybe 5.8R+, up to an overhanging ledge with a piton in it for pro. pull on a flexing flake, but not to hard, and bump up to any of a variety of useless sandy pinches. Falling mantling the lip of this tower is not recommended. 2 lines on the Outlaw tower- Sundance Kid- OSFSFMFA- 35ft long 2 pitons are the only close to bomber thing on this tower. w/ a sketchy trad back up(#.75 to #3), you can rig off the pitons to a small tree. We used 1 threaded line, no back up. Butch Casidy- OSFSFM ( Jermey Louis walked the FA) 60ft long Use the Same two pitons and stack some rocks as a small a-frame, and you can diagonally rig to a #3 crack on the wall side of the east end of the tower. we used 1 threaded line no backup. Fin highlines seen after the tower highlines. (InFINity Minus 1)(∞-1) OSFSFM (Ryan Matson walked the FA) 45ft long 2 bolts on both sides. bolder back up on the sketchy side, 100ft on ground up and over the tower. Good'Nuf - OSFSFMFA- 55ft long 2 bolts on either side, walk around rig, super easy, maybe a classic... established in sandals by me and ryan matson. The longline at the end of the clip was 408m long (1340ft) and was probably the craziest thing i have ever rigged. Funny enough we pulled it tight with a truck and it was walkable in about 90 minutes. We used Jerry's Set up, no multiplier, and had a Dillon Dyno in the system. Failed miserably at walking at any tension between 4800lbs and 3500 lbs. Longest walk on the line was 110 ft. The last clip is me moving the stick about a 1ft past the PR. victory for the day... i guess lol
