About Me

  • Gender Male
  • About me I started climbing at the age of 11 and never stopped. Climbing has always been one of the most positive things in my life and feel lucky to have climbed for so many years. My friends and family have always been very supportive with my climbing helping me grow and develop as a climber and person. When I first started climbing my mom would take me out bouldering, around the Spokane area, using a burlap sack to keep my feet dry before I had even heard of a crash pad. Climbing outside reinforced a passion for nature and being outside with friends and family, exploring the outdoors and gain a wide variety of experiences through nature. I owe so much to the people who helped motivate and push my self as a climber and individual like my mom and dad. A special thanks to Marty Bland taking me climbing outside from the age of 12 to all kinds of climbing areas, showing me the way to have the vision to explore and develop new climbs. He has put up more new climbs than about anyone I know and looked up to him like a super hero.

In the recent years my focus has mainly been bouldering. I feel it has always been my favorite style of climbing because it is so simple and pure. Establishing new climbs is one of my favorite parts of climbing because of the process that goes with it. You get to explore nature with friends hiking around and having the vision to see new lines. This is another reason I feel lucky to have grown up in the pacific northwest. Having the chance to to put up so many classic boulder problems at amazing areas, like Tum Tum, Gold Bar, Leavenworth, and many more places
