Dave Graham - Adventures in Oz

Dave Graham - Adventures in Oz
March 04, 2014 -

It's no surprise to me that ancient Aboriginals who first inhabited the Grampians, believed the surreal landscapes and animated structures of sandstone were designed by a creator named Bunjil in a "dream-state". I have searched the planet for the last sixteen years in hopes of discovering the type of stone and setting which can only be conjured through intense imagination, or extremely vivid dreaming. In 2011, I discovered it. Otherworldly is an understatement, and the whole place reminds me of Pangea. There is something incredibly hard to digest about the whole scene; it's a regular sensation to wonder if...

Colorado Flatland Jams - Brian Gavagan

Colorado Flatland Jams - Brian Gavagan
February 28, 2014 -

Each month a group of riders meet to ride flatland BMX. Some call it "bicycle-ballet," "BMX-breakdancing, or "figure-skating on wheels." Riders roll or jump on the front and back wheel, move their feet on the pedals and pegs, all while demonstrating their own unique style and "tricktionary."

First Ascent of The Penrose Step V14 • Carlo Traversi
February 18, 2014 -  Five Ten

In the fall of 2013, Five Ten Elite Athlete Carlo Traversi traveled to Leavenworth, Washington to attempt the longstanding "ladder project".  Just minutes from the main road, this impeccable shield of rock had resisted attempts for nearly a decade.  After 4 days of work, Carlo made the First Ascent of the line calling it "The Penrose Step" and giving it the grade of V14, making it the hardest boulder problem in the state of Washington.

Trippin - Episode 2 - Madeira with Mark Scott and Sam Flanagan

Trippin - Episode 2 - Madeira with Mark Scott and Sam Flanagan
February 14, 2014 -  Five Ten

Madeira, Europe's lost MTB paradise? That is no longer a question, but now a statement. Madeira should be next on the hit list of your next riding destinations, everything you could ever need on one epic island. Epic trails, awesome locals, insane food and the sickest views! Trippin headed to Madeira, located just off the African coast, back in January for a joint project with Aspect Media. Not knowing much about the island or its riding scene, we were very pleasantly surprised. Hopefully you have seen Aspect's beautifully shot edit, but now it's time for what our lens captured...

Welcome to Brazil - Benjamin Rueck

Welcome to Brazil - Benjamin Rueck
February 14, 2014 -

After about a two week rest from Africa, an opportunity to travel down to Brazil arose. Kevin Jorgenson and I were invited to go with adidas to explore and put up new lines. It was an incredible mission to go have a whirl wind experience in three or four climbing areas in South America’s largest country, as well as meet with interesting folks. The answer was fairly simple; “yep, I’ll go!”My bags were packed… I was ready to go… I had that quirky song “Leaving on a jet plane,” on my mind and as I approached the ticket counter...
