World’s Most Dangerous Hikes - Colette McInerney

World’s Most Dangerous Hikes - Colette McInerney
September 19, 2014 -  Colette McInerney

As a climber I often find myself precariously placed on a variety of vertical landscapes - hanging on belays a few rope lengths above the ground on a scree-covered ledge is kind of the norm. So I couldn’t understand why my stomach was slowly dropping to the bottom of my stomach as I started the initial ascent into the Camino del Rey this past April. I had arrived in Malaga the night before and met up with fellow Five Ten athlete Nico Favresse and producer Ivo Ninov, Five Ten’s Grass Roots Marketing Manager in Europe and badass extreme athlete...

The Swiss Valley - Year Two - Jill Kuzman

The Swiss Valley - Year Two - Jill Kuzman
September 05, 2014 -

Heading back to the Swiss Valley was incredibly exciting for me. I was here last year with a slightly smaller wingsuit and less time for my trip. This year, I'm ready to rage. New suit in hand, one more year of experience under my belt, and 2 more weeks than I had last year. With a valley full of my friends ready to jump and party. Its like Disney World for BASE jumpers.

South Africa Part Two - Andrew Baldwin

South Africa Part Two - Andrew Baldwin
September 04, 2014 -

Right after we got back from out trip to the Welgevonden game reserve Madeline and I were now on our own, heading to the climbing destination. Driving on the other side of the road and trying to find our way to Waterval Boven. It was three hours east of Johannesburg. Nothing too interesting along the way. More insight of South African life and rolling hills. I started to wonder if there was even any climbing out here. We entered the town and eventually found our way to Roc and Rope's Adventure. We met Alex and Gus who are incredibly...

Climbing in Ceuse! - Delaney Miller

Climbing in Ceuse! - Delaney Miller
August 27, 2014 -

After competing in Briancon, I went slightly north to climb on the famous mountain of the Hautes-Alps, Ceuse. I was only able to climb there for four incredibly short days before hitting the trains to Innsbruck, but that was plenty of time to have me convinced that Ceuse is one of the most extraordinary places in the world. The trip began with horror stories about the brutal approach to the rocks. I, like most climbers, am not a fan of hiking. I hate having to carry 40 lbs. of gear, food, water, and extra clothes anywhere; not to mention...

A Summer to Remember - Nick Bradley

A Summer to Remember - Nick Bradley
August 25, 2014 -

These past two months have been full of nothing but climbing at the best crags in the country with just as amazing people, and memories that I will be able to cherish forever. I wanted my summer to be full of lied-back climbing, and I couldn't be happier with the result. My attitude towards climbing is always calm but psyched, and I was able to apply that at the beautiful Red River Gorge, KY and Maple Canyon, UT to enjoy my stay, but still crush harder than ever before. However, none of this would've turned out as well as...
