Västervik and its archipelago is already a well known tourist destination visited by many people from all over the world every year. From now on it will also be a major climbing destination. The purpose of the Västervik Boulder Meet is to have climbers from all over the world meet in Västervik, a beautiful city located on the Swedish
east coast. Daniel Woods and his wife Cortney are participating and many more strong climbers from different countries.

Bouldering, partying, sharing experiences, lectures, product testing, presentations and just basic hanging out together are all on the menu. The region offers plenty of bouldering, at both developed and virgin
territories. The climbing takes place on high quality granite for the most part. Currently the hardest problems weigh in around 8b, but there are plenty of projects.

All visiting climbers get free topos and help to go to the different bouldering areas and discounts on campings, hostels and cabins.

This year the event will take place 25-28 August. The plan is to make
this an annual meet.

Thursday 25 aug.
10.00 We meet at the bouldercenter, Lysingsbadet. We plan and go through the schedule for the day, and afterwards go to different boulder areas. Three project route prepared by Stefan Rasmussen Västervik, Sweden. 200 € in pricemoney for each problem. It is split by the ones who manage to complete the routes. Two problems for men and one problem for women. Ends on Sunday 16.00. We train the whole day for the Dyno Competition at the bouldercenter. You apply for it on spot. Final on Saturday 19.00.
1st price 200 €, 2nd price 100 €, 3rd price 50 €.
20.00 Barbecue at the the bouldercenter and music.

Friday 26 aug.
10.00 We meet at the bouldercenter, Lysingsbadet. We plan and go through the schedule for the day, and afterwards go to the different boulder areas to climb (project routes etc.). Dynotraining open the whole day at the bouldercenter.
18.00 Barbecue at the the bouldercenter, music and exhibition by the companies.
19.00 Seminar and slideshow by Erik Massih, merited all-round climber from Swedwn.
21.00 Seminar and slideshow by Philippe Ribiére, french professional climber.

Saturday 27 aug.
10.00 We meet at the bouldercenter, Lysingsbadet. We plan and go through the schedule for the day, and afterwards go to the different boulder areas to climb (project routes etc.). Dynotraining open the whole day at the bouldercenter.
18.00 Barbecue at the the bouldercenter, music and exhibition by the companies.
19.00 Dyno Competition final.

Sunday 28 aug.
10.00 We meet at the bouldercenter, Lysingsbadet. We plan and go through the schedule for the day, and afterwards go to the different boulder areas to climb (project routes etc.).
17.00 Distribution of prizes to the ones who have finished the project routes.
18.00 Barbecue and music at the bouldercenter.
Black Diamond introduces their new swiss made more durable filling, a samdwitch of different foams that will withstand much more abuse and keep it’s properties through out the life time of the pad. Pads, Mondos and Drop Zones will be available for participants to borrow and use (and abuse) here in Västervik and will be for sale at bargain prices after the event. Pads with new foam will be available in stores during Spring 2012.
Demo shoes from 5.10 will also be available for use. Take the opportunity to find your favorite model and find you size during while climbing.”
