This weekend I was able to head down to central Utah, Moab to be exact for some BASE jumping and summer-like atmosphere...and most importantly, trade-in my Dalbello ski boots for my Five Ten 5/10 Dome hiking shoes. I can not describe how amazing it felt to be back at Mineral Bottom, Castle Valley and the surrounding Moab red rock play land. I am ready to turn back around and head straight back there...

Well, I finally made it outside again, this time to Joe’s Valley. This was my first bouldering trip since 2010 and overall I am pretty excited about the experience. It was great to get outside, climb hard and increase my motivation for the rest of the year.

I was able to meet up with a handful of photographers to capture some images documenting the epic snow once the skies went blue right after the storm. Follow the link below to the photos Liam Doran of "On the Snow" took of Kyle Sul, Dex Mills, and myself. It's hard to believe that the winter season is rapidly...

The prayers for snow are ongoing, but the fun on and off the slopes continue. I am making the most of all my downtime off the daily freeskiing routines and enjoying every minute of it. I would never say I take my lifestyle for granted, but I feel so fortunate to be able to live in the mountains and surround myself with the activities, sports, and people that I do. Thanksgiving is a special time of year for BASE jumpers. The annual Turkey Boogie is in full swing in Moab, UT! A day out at Mineral Bottom Canyon is full of super packed truck rides up the switchbacks, cliffs as far as the eye can see and tons of friends around to play! Nothing like some unpacked jumps for saving time and maximizing jump numbers!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

I look up at the wall and I say to myself "Go Climb!" Being psyched for the climb, I start free solo climbing and think to myself halfway up am I really doing this? Then after a brief minute I get back to climbing and finally see the top. First step on the top was an awesome feeling, gazing at the vast air and mountains was breath taking, absolutely beautiful.
