Last weekend I competed in SCS Adult Open Nationals at Movement Climbing and Fitness in Boulder, Colorado. I had a great time at nationals and I’m super excited that I made it on the podium for the first time at adult nationals placing third. I defiantly reached my goals and beyond at this competition.

Last weekend concluded the 2013 ABS National Championships. Last year was the first time that USA Climbing decided to hold bouldering divisionals as well as rope divisionals, as a way of making the two disciplines of the sport more similar to each other. The days are short and the darkness and cold drive us inside to the climbing gym. This time of year can be depressing, with school and work forcing us to spend the bulk of daylight hours inside. Lucky for us it makes it easier to head into the gym and fine tune things as we quickly approach our Regional Championships.
