This winter I got the opportunity to travel the world with the Swatch Freeride World Tour by The North Face. It was an amazing few months, jam-packed with travels all over the globe to Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada, Courmayeur, Italy, Chamonix, France, Kirkwood, California, Fieberbrunn, Austia, and Verbier, Switzerland. The schedule was crazy, and the jet lag took a while to recover from, but the experiences of travel, freeriding, snow, and events were unbelievable. I cannot wait for what 2014 has in store for the FWT. Now I have a few free months...
In the winter it is much more difficult to access the big wingsuit jumps, so right now, I am focusing on the lower objects around town. Lately I have been considering jumping a dam, which is not to far from where I live. But when jumping an object like this, it is best to get some advice from the locals. Luckily last weekend I met 2 jumpers who live just below this dam! Guillaume and Jonathan knew all the beta on the access, landing, weather... it seems I had found my guides! And it also seemed it was...
I have just repeated Speed 8c+ in Voralpsee, Switzerland. I am so psyched! I finally sent this amazing historical route! It took me 12 days to do it. It's probably the longest I have spent on a sport-climb. The warm temperatures of the summer and the sharp holds didn't really help either but the route was too good to give up and too many tries were too close and gave me too much hope. Sending it come as a nice pressure relieve as it went down on my last day, last try before heading to my next adventure in...
Hello! It's been a "while" since my last post... Last summer I went to Rocklands and climbed a bunch of amazing stuff there. For examle Blackshadow, Shosholoza, Macho King, Amphiteater, to mention some of the ones I liked most. This summer I had a trip in Europe. First I visited Magic Wood. I felt really strong, but wasn't able to climb any of my projects. I was close to send One summer in Paradise at my last day, but hand slipped on the very last move. I would like to blame the hot...
Just after Shooting the Toyota Spade Commercialin Death Valley CA , I flew to Virginia Beach to link up with Red Bull Air Force team mate Sean MacCormac. We flew in for a wounded warrior event that would raise money and awareness for the brave men and woman who risked their lives defending our country’s freedom. Our job was to take a few of these veterans skydiving, basically our way of saying, thank you! No better time to show our appreciation than to do it on Memorial Day Weekend itself. But before arriving...
Have you ever experienced that moment just after you hurt yourself when you stop, hold your breath, scrunch up your face and hold on to the area of pain, waiting to see if it goes away, hoping that it was just a shock and that you are actually okay. I lay on the bouldering mat curled up in a ball but the pain wasn’t going away. All I could think of was the noise I heard when I hit the mat. A few deep breaths helped me to compose myself. A short while passed and I decided to try...
