I am very excited by my progress on this classic. I should be returning next week to Yosemite to finish it up! I also had the opportunity to wrap down and start trying the moves on a project located in the back of Camp 4. I am quite positive this boulder has never been done before,...

Say hello to long hikes, high elevation, and the best bouldering of the year. Last year I only went to Rocky Mountain National Park once. This year the park was climbable pretty early thanks to a fairly dry winter. On my one trip to the park last year I tried Outta Season_V8, established by my good friend and fellow Miramont route-setter Brian “BC” Camp. I did all the moves and linked it in two sections. So, on my first trip this season I had some unfinished business. Paul and I hiked up to the...

So far the winter months have been going very well. I have been getting out and climbing a ton. The first weekend of December my friend Morgan and I decided that we were spending too much time sitting around and we needed to go into the mountains. We decided to try the cables route on Longs Peak in the winter.

Winter is on its way and I am getting pretty excited about it. I have spent the last few days getting all my winter gear together and making sure that it is in working order. RMNP is already getting snow every now and again and hopefully climbs start to soon form up. Hopefully this winter turns out to be an eventful one. I hope to get down to Ouray a few times, especially for the world famous ice fest!...

In Colorado the seasons change drastically from sweltering heat and daily thunderstorms to dry, crisp, and cool conditions. For most of the summer I was focused on setting and most recently coaching at Movement Climbing and Fitness. It wasn't really until September that I had enough time to get outside and climb, just in time for the prime conditions.
