5 Competitions in 6 Weeks - Carlo Traversi

5 Competitions in 6 Weeks - Carlo Traversi
November 11, 2014 -

I was completely aware of what I had signed up for until I was in the thick of it.  The travel schedule alone was enough to warrant a stiff chaser of hibernation and solitude.  I’m typically good at dealing with high-energy scenarios, crowds, and relentless amounts of time “on the road”, but this particular season was going to put me to the test.

As I'm sure most of you know the Portland Boulder Rally was this past weekend and it was awesome! This was the third time the comp was held and the first time I went. I made a last minute decision to go and I'm glad I did. When I first got the gym there was all kinds of fun stuff going on. There was a tent with sponsors, free stuff and food. We weren't familiar with the sweet spots on many giant volumes that dominated the walls and there were random holds we may or may not have needed; we truly forged into the unknown! Once I was on the problems however, everything more or...
