Spring in the Northwest is go-time for whitewater paddlers. Rivers are full to their banks (typically), and rain boots are are out in full storm (typically)! While spring has only just sprung, this spring is different, as paddlers find themselves praying for rain, watching NOAA's radar for the slightest hint of moisture. Mid-March starts the Western Whitewater Championship Series: a series of paddling festivals throughout the spring and summer featuring various downriver races and events. The first festival of the season was the Wind River Festival, a 25 minute all out sprint to the finish through...
The Wind River Festival is part of the Western Whitewater Championship Series, a series of 8 river festivals throughout the summer and fall. Racers accumulate points throughout the series, of which the individual with the most points per category is deemed Champion of the Western Whitewater Championship Series. My feet are like 8 times their normal size and the snowshoe is like a flipflop that doesn’t properly fit your foot... At least I thought. Turns out, it’s easy... And fun, in a relaxing way. And more...

New York City!! I love it !! In my opinion the most exciting city in the world. But this was a pit stop, one night. The next day I drove to Newport, Rhode Island for the America's Cup. Awesome! New England is so rad, especially Newport. A real port town vibe and a great place to party, especially in the summer when the place is jammed packed onthe weekends, especially this beautiful weekend, for one of the biggest sailing races in the world.I jumped into the sailing race on Saturday with Clint and we threw down a really tight...
