One week! That's how long was the race. One week, 4 races and 2 podiums.Starts with the dual climb on Tuesday. Basically you have to go up and down on the dual course, first to arrive at the bottom win. Mick was the only one from the team to race it cause he wanted to go for the overall. It has been a really hard race and after 8 up and down mick ended up with an impressive 2nd place. Good start of the week.
The life of a professional mountain bike racer isn't always what people think it is. My summer so far is a great example of the true lifestyle of a privater professional racer trying to make it happen for themselves. This summer I decided to get away from certain sponsorships and keep other ones and get back to the grassroots level of riding, doing it for you and only you. 5.10 and TLD thanks for all the great support. That was my quick shout-out.
Darn!! Took some time out from revising last week, rode some DH crashed hurt my shoulder!! Not that bad but wanted to race with my little brother Kaos this weekend - decided not to as I have a couple of big races coming up and want to be fully fit!
So this past weekend "23/24th" was the first ever Ashland Enduro Race and the only word to describe it was Epic! This race was the second of the five round Oregon Enduro Series and the field was absolutely STACKED. Over 300 racers registered to compete in the first ever Ashland Enduro with over 65 Pro men. The race was broken up into 4 stages two 4 minute stages one 7 minute stage and the final stage was a 23 minute sprint through hell. The Format was amazing and helped create a very relaxed atmosphere with two stages on Saturday...
I will honestly say I am one of those individuals that will always be busy! After I finished filming for the movie I decided to clear my schedule of traveling to competitions for a while and I am still busy! I guess that's what happens when you have been traveling for 3 months. So the last film trip in Utah went pretty good, I got some rad lines in but I fell short of my tricks that I wanted to throw down, which is why I decided to take some time off to just ride my bike at home....
In Slovenia we have a new magazine called Bike magazin. There was a photo contest for the best pictures. Selected photos were part of the second issue and I am in two pictures.
