The racing season has started. I was racing constantly for the last two weeks and won two podiums, actually two second places. This season is a fresh start for me; I race on a new bike Scott Gambler 10, signed with a new team Energijateam.com and train with a new trainer and the hard work during the winter has payed off. The first race took me to the croatian island Losinj, where was the first international race and the second one was the first round of the Slovenian national Cup in Avce.

It's almost end of March and we still have snow in Slovenia. In few weeks we have first downhill race. I hope that snow will go away. Almost everything is the same as last year about me and downhill racing. I have the same GT Fury downhill bike, 661 helmet and knee pads, Leatt brace, Royal gear, Quiksilver clothes, Continental tires, Under Armour base layer clothes and new Five Ten shoes. My girlfriend Mateja took some nice shots of pre-season riding.

This past week was pretty amazing. I got a new GT Fury and headed to the dessert for the first Pro GRT with my girlfriend, Allison Oliver and good friend Mikey Sylvestri. I took a few days off along the way to ride my new whip in Virgin, UT and Bootleg Canyon, NV. Thanks to Allison, we ended up with some fun shots that I thought I would share with the Five Ten nation.

I look forward to this part of the season, a race or two already attended and the rest of the season getting pieced together. As an athlete, it took a few years to learn to work out my goals and get focused. Part of this is sitting down and looking at the upcoming year. I love the fact of having over half the year's weekends mapped out before the turn of the new year (terrifying for most)....

The last day of 2012, we went to seaside to take some photos with my friend and photographer Jan Pirnat. We found some great spots and photos are going to be sick. I really liked to ride today, it was sunny and warm. 2012 season was great and I am really excited about 2013. I would like to wish Happy New Year and all the best in 2013.

With the rain and snow, comes the offseason for mountain biking. Although, you can ride year round on the Sunshine Coast, in the winter months, my focus changes to building, this year more than ever. As a featured rider in the upcoming new Coastal Crew movie, there is a lot of work to be done for my segment.
