The whole city stretches for 573 square miles and sits in a dried up lake basin at an altitude of 7,350 ft. There is a ton of bouldering located in the city and around the surrounding hills. El Potrero Chico is located right beside the small town of Hidalgo just an hours drive from Monterrey. The last days in Mexico City were good but needed a change, I make many new boulder problems, and also train a lot in the plastic the climbing GYM. live with friends with whom I began to climb, which had not seen in ages or scale with which to develop new areas in Mexico. The last few days have been very motivating and busy, after being almost 2 months in Mexico City.Was not so easy to keep hold of motivation, since it does not could climb much in the rock, but i climb a lot in the climbing gym, 5 days a week, for 6 hours and 2 days a week to fetch boulders in the area, Mineral del Chico a new area y developed the last year, were area  60 boulders approximately.

Almost a month in Mexico City, this has been a radical change which I'm used to after living for long periods of time in remote locations. Where a lot with unrelated people, not by choice but because there is not sow many option if you want to climb in those places.

The past, Saturday 18 February, took place the first boulder open  2012  Mexico, this was in the climbing Gym, Onix in Mexico City and Five Ten was there.This competition was sponsored by Five Ten, which continues to support in Mexico.The event was very nice, 170 people attended and 60 competitors. The comp of 7 boulders to classify finals, then the finals consisted in 4 boulder problems.People came from many parts of the Mexican republic. the atmosphere was very good and the climbing level of Mexico continues growing and every time are more people climbing.

BANFF, Mountain Film Festival in Mexico.
 
So last October 21,22,23 was presented BANFF festival in Mexico City. In this event was FIVE TEN, who control about rebuked them for this festival and support to achieve this. such events are very good for Mexico, since moive people and reminds them how far can human when striving to achieve his dream. this Eveno lasted three days, each day with 3 hours of video and mountain adventure.
