So you’re looking for a pair of shoes to wear kayaking? With so many options out there, from kayak specific shoes to runners to … well you get the point …it can be a little challenging to pick the right one. Especially considering shoes don’t come cheap these days. Let me explain a situation that occurred to me a few years ago that had me really thinking about my shoes.
AHHH, The Grand Canyon of the Colorado River! This is a remarkable adventure, filled with super fun rapids, amazing surf waves, inspiring canyons, tremendous beauty, epic geology, and vistas that take your breath away. Not to mention, killer camping and seventeen days on the river, deep in the canyon, with your friends!
The Wind River Festival is part of the Western Whitewater Championship Series, a series of 8 river festivals throughout the summer and fall. Racers accumulate points throughout the series, of which the individual with the most points per category is deemed Champion of the Western Whitewater Championship Series. The Wind River Festival featured the first of many downriver kayak races to come- a mass-start, grueling 25 minute all out paddle to the finish line!
I just got asked again if I am crazy. I am not crazy. I was not born with big balls, I was born with no balls! I do not believe that anybody was born with a “tough”- gene.
