JT Holmes and Timy Dutton drove out to Utah to meet up with Jesse Hall, Suz Graham, Neil Amonson and Marshal Miller in order to jump, jump and do some more jumping. This trip highlight was a creative and spontaneous balloon jump above Tooele Valley. It is ver fun what can happen with some extra altitude! The Chase shoe from Five Ten provided nice grip on the railing of the balloon basket.
Shot entirely on GoPro with early access to Squaw Valley, JT, Tim and Espen skydive to Squaw's upper mountain slopes, have some good clean fun.. and then of course, take the cable car down... but not all the way down!
It was cool to do a recorded interview with Joe over at Outside Online. Some of my answers are long, but it is cool that they were published word for word rather than writer's summary. Thanks Joe Spring and thanks for the photos Michi Portmann!
Although the award ended up going to the Harry Potter crew, we were really flattered to get nominated for a SAG award for Best Stunt Ensemble. We are crossing our fingers for a win at the Taurus awards where we are nominated in 3 categories, including Best High Stunt and Best Specialty Stunt. I will keep you posted!
Magazine Covers, Movie segments, newspaper front pages... all are coveted achievements for an athlete, but the ultimate, most elite, has got to be the label of a bottle wine!
The world's best event held ever before in the history of the world! 450 BASE jumpers. Thousands of spectators. People rappelling the 874ft bridge, 6 rescue boats, everyone having tons and tons of fun. Big props to the tandem base guys and all of the brave ones who made their first base jump at bridge day. A special thanks to Red Bull and Curtis Ferguson for the hospitality. I will be back! Here is a video and a few more words about the weekend:
