Tour De Bloc season 10 has come to a close with Nationals being held last weekend at Rock Jungle Fitness in Edmonton, Alberta. The sad part is that I wasn't able to go. In fact, I haven't been able to go to any competitions this season, with the exception of the season opener in November. Very unfortunately, I've been battling a serious finger injury which has kept me from competing for over 5 months. A nasty amalgamation of a pulley tear, tendon inflammation, joint discomfort, and a stubborn mentality to continually push my body’s limits has resulted in a...
Packing for Hueco was, to say the least, a little stressful for me. Not knowing whether or not I could climb or not… Would I be able to compete at Nationals the following week? Even if I did, would I have a chance to win? Ok, let's rewind a little...
Here is a little sum up of how things are going in this beginning of the 2012 year. First of all, I finished my master thesis the 20 of January. Nice piece of paper on something that can be traduced as “liability for debts from the member of an association”; I can assure you that the content was as sexy as the title J.
This is the first of a new videoblog project I'm working on. My youtube channel is www.youtube.com/finelined if you would like to subscribe! You probably should. ;) So a few months ago I was badly injured in a skiing accident, (read my blog post on it here) but after lots of rehab, meditation, relaxation, and physio, I'm back feeling fantastic. I'm not 100% yet but a few weeks ago I was able to make my first jumps back, which marked me being back to doing everything I love. Here is to a summer full of biking, climbing,...
A little while ago I was involved in a gnarly ski crash that broke my leg, ribs, and ego- (check out the details, here http://fiveten.com/community/blog-detail/12704-fire-and-ice-suz-graham-injury-report) And now you get to see the footage if you really want, if you are, you know... like that. (Mom, you aren't allowed however...) But it's a great edit of my trip to the Monashee PowderCats Lodge in British Columbia with the Fischer International Team. So check it out! Healing is going fantastic, and I'll post a rehab report soon enough. Two words... Road Biking, my newest obsession- because it is the...
Bomb, bomber, bombing; I bombed off the lip of a tall boulder. With the depression of injury slowly starting to wane its way out of my life, I feel confident enough in my return to touching rocks to write about the hairy encounter I had with Jason Kehl's widowmaker, or, The Rules of Chaos.
