haveronglad u had a great trip!
My girlfriend Tiffani and I recently made our first trip to Hueco Tanks, TX. On our way home we split up the drive and stopped in Bishop, CA.
Well I've been hanging out in Hueco for 2 weeks or so and I'm really happy with the way it's been going. Not that I've been slaying boulders left and right (I haven't been) but it's been great to try some really tough boulders. Rather than reading a long post, check out these photos!!! I have a couple more days and I'm going to try to finish up Li (v13) and House of Doom (v13). Good Times!!!
This winter I made a quick trip back down to Hueco Tanks, one of my favorite bouldering areas in the world.. For me Hueco has been a place to live out many of the dreams I've had about bouldering over the years. One problem that has eluded me for more than 10 years is The Feather. However, I am always surprised by the weather; it can be sunny and 50 degrees one week and the next 7 degrees with ten inches of snow. The arrival of snow here means one thing. It is training time because Hueco season is upon us.I have been putting mad time in at the gym, getting my crimp on! I have unfinished business in Hueco, last year I fell off the top of It’s a Good Day for Swiss Crisp Mix_V10, twice. I can’t wait to...
November 2011- Hueco Tanks, TX. After a good run-around with Ronnie Jenkins for the 5.10 Ride with the Rep, I was psyched to spend a little home-time.. Turned out to be a short stint: my girlfriend had some time off, so we headed down to the Moab area for a short week of bouldering on the Wingate. Back to Boulder, then out to Joe's Valley for me, on another short trip that proved to be disastrous: day one, problem one gave side-by-side flappers, day two was so cold that water and stove froze, and the project in...
