2012 was a big year for me. It was a time to reflect on my life, get it straightened out, and start heading to where I want to be - physically and mentally. I've traveled around the world – China, Germany, west coast, east coast, and everywhere in between. I've started my own company, Whispering Pines Tea Company. I've lost love and found love, had epiphany's, injuries, lost myself, and found myself. I've trained hard. I've promoted hard. I've pushed the boundaries of the sport and inspired others to do the same. Why? Sometimes I wonder why I train....
Somewhereelseland Team member Faith Dickey lives the slacklife full force, a passion she discovered by accident, it has lead her to over 20 countries worldwide. After just 5 months of highlining she broke all the previous female world records, and continues to break her own and set new ones. Besides pursuing length, height and exposure, she also has found a calling in walking highlines free solo, meaning walking without security. This Fall she was fortunate enough to work with Kletter Kiddies, a Czech based climbing filmography team, and they created this short piece illustrating briefly just what Faith does....
From 16 to 20 of may, the store Le Yéti and the association Line Service will create for fans of slackline the Slack Village. Finally a space dedicated to the slackline in the FISE of Montpellier !
