After three days of playing extreme catch-up at school because of nationals, I was so psyched for a solid ten days of climbing at one of my favorite places in the world: the Red River Gorge. Given that bouldering season had just ended for me, the red was pretty much the perfect place to go to get myself motivated, as well as somewhat in shape for the next few months of sport...

It's almost end of March and we still have snow in Slovenia. In few weeks we have first downhill race. I hope that snow will go away. Almost everything is the same as last year about me and downhill racing. I have the same GT Fury downhill bike, 661 helmet and knee pads, Leatt brace, Royal gear, Quiksilver clothes, Continental tires, Under Armour base layer clothes and new Five Ten shoes. My girlfriend Mateja took some nice shots of pre-season riding.

The idea of having regionals, then divisionals, then nationals rather than simply going from regionals to nationals got mixed reviews, but the organization decided to keep divisionals in the mix. So, last weekend, I drove ten whole minutes away to the Gravity Vault to compete for a stop at nationals. I felt like I was in pretty good shape, but I...

After a month and over my blog reborn with new words about my bouldering adventures. The main topic is about the first half of December, since in November no important things happened. In fact November was a month of training except some little rock times with poor results. I had three weeks really full of mixed training sessions, with 6/7 sessions per week, by using different kind of trainings like fingerboard, pan gullich, climbing gym, a bit of rock and in addition of these things also three or four hours of stretching per week. After this period...

I was so happy to receive my Five Ten gear today! I can't wait to wear the BoxLogo™ Tank for jogging in the park. Also, I look forward to wearing the new Team 5.10® Black shoes when I go climbing. They look so cool, sharp and perfect for hard moves. I'm going to start wearing them right away!

When one thinks of Vail they might think of skiing and fur coat shops, when I think of Vail I think of rad competitive climbing and expensive pasta. Last year the wall was at a prime location near the center of the village and at the foot of the mountain, (Mt. unknown) and this year it was near the end of the village next to a soccer field….not ideal for spectating but it all worked out perfect in the end. Good job to all the setters, USA Climbing and comp coordinators...

Well this is my first Five Ten blog post. I'm so psyched to be on the team!! My life is beginning to change for the better and I am looking forward to what comes next. My girlfriend Kasia Pietras and I are leaving for a month and a half road trip to Colorado in just 6 days and we can't wait. Twenty hours on the road will be tough, but worth it.

The best weekend ever usually consists of a long day on my bike, a solid day on the river in my kayak, and a big ol' BBQ with some friends. This last weekend was exactly that... the best weekend ever.
