Competition came to an end in the speed world cup 2012 series. Five Ten athlete Edyta Ropek after last event in Mokpo was classified at fourth position in WC ranking. She is the best non Russian athlete throughout the all cycle. This was also for her breaking through season, as she managed to climb in 8,90 second during WCh in Paris – it’s her personal best, and one off the countless results in the world.
The fifth edition of this year’s speed World Cup was held in amazing setting for Upland of Qinghai Plateau in China. Edyta wasn’t a favorite of that event. Qualifying round was a big challeng for her, during first run as a result of bad belaying she accidentally grabbed the rope, causing a slow-down run. She obtained time 9,56 seconds. I’m after Championships in Paris. Those were my 7-th world championships in career. Great climbing show, on its way to the world of big sport events. For me championships are always important, I prepare for them all the year, doing everything to build form on exact day of my start.
The fourth victory of Polish athlete on the dam in Daone. Supported by Five Ten Edyta Ropek is the first in the world who made this. During her 9 years starts in the valley, she won 4 gold, and 2 bronze medals! No one else has achieved so much. Speed World Cup in Daone is one of the hardest from the IFSC speed competition calendar.
Five Ten Team athlete Edyta Ropek wins silver medal in European Promo Event in speed climbing. Competition was a part of the Munchner Sportfestival which took place last Sunday in Munich, Germany. Edyta was in a great shape. During qualification round she ran 9,26 second, which is close to hers life record. She beat in duels Suiss Noemi Langenkamp (9,96 s. to 14,83 s.), Austrian athlete Stefanie Pichler (10,94 s. to 11,47 s.), French speed climber Anouck Jaubert (9,57 s. to 10,53 s.).
