Prepping For SCS Nationals - Zoe Steinberg

Prepping For SCS Nationals - Zoe Steinberg
July 17, 2014 -  Zoe Steinberg

The last six weeks have been pretty busy for me, so I apologize for not finding time to write this sooner. My last post was about SCS regionals in May, where I placed first. After that comp, I started what we call senior project at my school, which is basically where the seniors have to go get unpaid internships for three weeks and work 80 hours on-site to experience what the real world is like. I really enjoyed my internship, which was in neurology, but it definitely took up a lot more time than I’m used...

SCS 2014 Regionals - Zoe Steinberg

SCS 2014 Regionals - Zoe Steinberg
May 30, 2014 -  Zoe Steinberg

SCS regionals were a few weeks ago, down in Rockville, Maryland.  I drove down the day before the comp, which was also my last day of classes, to stay with my friend Kerry for the night.  We ended up having a 4-hour AP biology study session for most of the evening, since we were both taking the exam the next Monday, and crashed at about 11:30 since the comp was the next morning.

Spring Season - Zoe Steinberg

Spring Season - Zoe Steinberg
April 30, 2014 -  Zoe Steinberg

Over the last month, there has been a lot going on for me, relating to both climbing and other things, like school and college. Even though it’s been a bit busy, things have been going pretty well lately, so I really can’t complain any of it. It is pretty crazy to think that I only have eight more days of classes and a three-week internship before I am completely done with high school, but I’m excited to start college in the fall. Things have been going well from a climbing standpoint as well, so I’ll talk...

Changing Seasons: Dark Horse & Livin' Astro - Josh Levin
November 12, 2013 -

Fall is officially here in New England! Over the past couple months, I’ve transitioned from the summer life of competing and traveling back into my sophomore year classes here at Northeastern. As much as I love traveling and climbing during the summer, there’s something special about coming back to Boston for this time of year. You really can’t beat the crisp apples and amazing colors display from tree leaves, but most importantly, prime climbing temps and the beginning of a new season of the Dark Horse Bouldering Series.Last year, I competed in Dark Horse for the first time. I’d...

Spring Break at the Red! - Zoe Steinberg

Spring Break at the Red! - Zoe Steinberg
April 19, 2013 -  Zoe Steinberg

Well, my spring break came and went just like any other year, and I’d have to say it was definitely one of the better ones. After three days of playing extreme catch-up at school because of nationals, I was so psyched for a solid ten days of climbing at one of my favorite places in the world: the Red River Gorge. Given that bouldering season had just ended for me, the red was pretty much the perfect place to go to get myself motivated, as well as somewhat in shape for the next few months of sport...
