Check out this footage shot by Cascadia Collective featuring Matt Patterson, team Dirt Corps' race captain, aboard his Trek Session 9.9 DH bike, riding in WA State. Some of the best, most under appreciated riding occurs during our "off season" in the PNW. For those of us who love to ride and want to hone our racing, hanging up the bike when it gets a little cold and wet is not an option. Having shoes that keep your feet warm and in contact with the pedals at all times makes it possible to ride all year round in this...
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year Been pretty quite since the season has finished here in Europe. Dad and I have been working on the "team" plans for 2013 which has been great fun and, with our sponsors have decided to add another rider to the team which will really help with my training and racing. I also have a new trainer who is basically ensuring I am in peak condition for World Cup racing - it has been such an insight and I am really enjoying the workouts... which I am now able to...
The croatian race, downhill Gracisce always symbolizes the end of the season for me. Gracisce is located in Istria where the weather is still warm and sunny at this time of the year. However, for the race weekend weather forecasts predicted showers, which was pretty unusual for this location. None of us have ever ridden this track in rain so we were all excited. Actually I was hoping for a better weather because I have been sick for last three weeks and I was constantly taking pills so I wouldn't get a fever. When we got to...
The 3rd stop on the 2012 Mountain States Cup came to my home valley to Snowmass Mountain. Since I can remember there has been a race every year at Snowmass dating back to 2004 when I started racing. I've been living in this valley on and off throughout the summers the past 5 years, but it would be the first time I slept in my own bed on a race weekend, which was awesome!
Yellow Designs Stunt Team owner Brian "Yellow" Gavagan and his band of BMX pirates traveled to the mtns of Colorado for a Father's Day demo and some good times on wheels! The Yellow Designs Stunt Team performed a demo at Keystone Resort for their opening weekend of summer activities and DH course debut. Then they rode the Frisco bike park and the Breckenridge Skatepark. High-altitude living!! Enjoy the video!
