Every day when I get up I realize how blessed I am to work for a company like Five Ten and today was no exception. After spending a month or so at home in the snowy mountains of Lake Tahoe I am back in sunny southern California hanging out and testing product with guys in the creative department. At lunch today Jesus, the “Norwegian”, and I went out to ride a trail called Jedi in Redlands, California. Jedi is just a few minutes from headquarters and a fun pedal with some little jumps and fun berms. ...
Downhill Cerkno was my final race of the season. Because of the Sunday’s rain, the race was muddy. During qualification runs it was so foggy you almost couldn’t see the track in the forest. The visibility was better in the finals, but my run wasn’t good. I crashed at the top of the course. I hope next year the weather will be better, because in this season only 2 of the 7 races weren’t wet and muddy. At the end of summer we built a mini pump track at my friend’s house. Now we’ve been working on...
The Vail Mountain Games is all said and done, and it was a blast! The course was sweet, flowing well with a techy whale tail before the last jump. We got some awesome weather, with the wind and rain holding off for finals. I got a solid first run through, landing everything I wanted. That always feels awesome, so I put together a sender run for round two and everything worked perfect! That felt unreal, and I was so stoked that I slid out trying to slash the berm! My second run improved...
Once the dust settled from the Sea Otter Post Office Jam, Carson, Howey, and I trucked on up to Bend for UDUG. We spent a bunch of time at Jamie's place, digging, ripping dirt bikes around, and riding! His yard's all time, and was that much more fun when everyone showed up for the contest. It was nothing but good times, riding with homies, listening to live music, and chilling at the bonfire! Most people left right after UDUG finished, but Carson, Howey, and I were there for a few more days before making the journey to Colorado. Carson...
We made a rad little trip out to Morgan Hill to ride with our buddy JR at his jumps! With a stormy week, Ray, Keegan, and I decided to cruise out to Morgan Hill to check out our buddy JR's new spot. We didn't know what to expect, but were blown away when we pulled up! There are a few sweet lines, a mulch jump, and a foam pit! It was good times all round, putting some lines together on the main set and having a big session on the mulch! Everyone ended up landing something new, and we...
