It was so cold the icicles were forming on you as you paddled down river. The trip started weeks before our actual put-in date of January 8th, because this was a kayak supported trip we had to carry all of our personal gear in our kayaks for the entire fourteen days. This was my first kayak supported trip of this sort of length, so I ran into a whole new set of hurdles like how much food, beer, clothes, and even...

If you don't know of the Toxaway it consists mainly of slides. Some of which are pretty damn long and steep with some rather scary seal launches. I heard it was going to be running so started searching out some partners in crime. It started out as myself and Matt Anger and quickly grew to a group of five. Mack Magee, Clay Lucas and at the last minute Gareth Tate joined our crew. The banks of the Toxaway are made of very smooth granite...

This was my first full year representing and paddling for Five Ten and it could not have been a better year to have their support along with the rest of my sponsors. The year of kayaking is soon going to start to come to a close for the Northeast of North America and I had a bunch of good footage piling up so I decided to make a short video highlighting all of the great waterfalls, waves, and creeks I was fortunate enough to have paddled this year.

Check out this video of Dave Fusilli and Jared Seiler and fellow Demshitz huckin stouts in the PAC NW. We were stoked with our Five Ten tennis shoes during a sketchy climb down into one of Oregon's more tedious "park n hucks", Toketee Falls.

I just got back from a short tour of BC and Northwest US, this is one of the few areas in the country that has water, so we needed to be here. Water is in the title of whitewater kayaking, so water is a vital part of out sport and without it's hard to get the job done. Here is just a quick peek as to some of the waterfalls we have been lucky enough to check off this year. Full report coming soon with video.

One day in Buena Vista Co, Demshitz, Jed Selby and Mathieu Dumoulin loaded up in Orange Bitch and headed to Durango Co for 2 days of straight charging. We ended up doing 4 creek runs, a playboat session and drank 100 beers. Some great times with demshitz!!!

This is a short kayaking video from North Carolina. Some freestyling and a few fun slides on the Thompson creek.
