Rock & Ice Photo Shoot in Independence Pass, CO - Sasha DiGiulian

Rock & Ice Photo Shoot in Independence Pass, CO - Sasha DiGiulian
June 27, 2012 -

Following my return from Spain I flew to Colorado for a photoshoot with Rock and Ice. The chosen location was Independence Pass, a breathtakingly beautiful location near Aspen, Colorado. Independence Pass is a high-altitude region of the Colorado rockies that boasts incredibly vast ranges of granite cliffs, rolling mountains, and scattered pools of mountain run-off water. During the week, budding photographers learned from Outdoor Photography Masters, David Clifford and Keith Ladzinski. I was one of the “model subjects” for the photographers to take photos of while climbing. The group dynamics were great and I was thoroughly impressed...

So, I have been in Colorado for the last couple of weeks, sampling the diverse climbing here. There is so much to do, so much amazing and diverse climbing to be had and I am constantly overwhelmed by how little time I have. The first thing I did on arriving was onsight the Naked Edge... And yes, it does not only live up to, but it exceeds it's reputation!

Finding it hard to get motivated after returning back from Europe I kind of started to relax about climbing. I have always found it hard to stay in top shape year round. What's normal for me is having a few peaks throughout the year. But always maintaining some level of fitness.

Colorado trip and Limestone Cave Bouldering in Vermont!! - Sam Hayden
May 20, 2012 -

Colorado trip and a fantastic day bouldering at the recently found limestone cave in central Vermont! A little slow getting to this post spring has been busy! The trip out to Colorado in April was a blast! Climbed at the Kluttergarden in Redcliff, Boulder Canyon, Wolcott, and Unaweep. Got closer on my projects in Boulder Canyon...but couldn't quite get them in the one day we had there. The Kluttergarden was amazing in Redcliff! Fantastic stone, nice movement, secluded beautiful climbs! If you are heading down I70 west then make a...

Summer Less Then Two Weeks Away! - Sierra Carroll

Summer Less Then Two Weeks Away! - Sierra Carroll
May 01, 2012 -

It been a very short month of April and I am very excited for May. With school ending in a little over a week and my strength coming back after being forced to take so much time off. I have been feeling strong and very excited to climb over the past few weeks. With the first couple weeks of April not being able to do more then walk around campus after having surgery to re-break my nose it was a huge relief to be allowed to climb again.
