World Youth Championships Imst 2011 - Tomáš Binter

World Youth Championships Imst 2011 - Tomáš Binter
October 09, 2011 -

Even though late, I finally bring a short report of World youth Championships in Imst 2011. Just ten days before the WYCH started in Imst, an European youth cup took place there on the same venue. One could take it as a part of training and so did a lot of competitors, even from another continents. But now I gonna aim for the most prestigious competition of the year for youth climbing. First two days were the qualification rounds on. Each day I had one route.

Sonnie and I have been in Yosemite for a few days now. We've been fooling around on the top of El Cap, rapping in and inspecting the upper A1 beauty pitch of the Prophet. Leo Houlding and Jason Pickles established the route last year, ending a 9 year quest.

Summer Alpine Climbing - Jason Kruk

Summer Alpine Climbing - Jason Kruk

After living la dolce vita for a few weeks this summer in Italy I knew I had to come home and get to work - alpine climbing, that is... I went for yet another attempt on one of the biggest and baddest walls of black limestone around, the famous North Face of North Twin in the Canadian Rockies. You can read about those attempts through the eyes of my partners Hayden Kennedy (round one), and Jon Walsh (round two). I've now climbed over 6,000' of new terrain on this monster wall, here's to hoping round three will...

Wyoming Summer - Brian Dunnohew

Wyoming Summer - Brian Dunnohew

Hope everyone's summer was great and that your autumn is off to a great start. We had a great summer here in Wyoming. I had all these plans to visit other crags in Colorado and Utah, but ended up staying in Wyoming. I pretty much spent most of my time at the Wild Iris and other neighboring crags. I even visited new walls at the Wild Iris that I haven't been to my 11 years of climbing there. Its crazy that there is still so many new routes/walls/crags/boulders still being developed here.

Triple Crown Bouldering Series - Hound Ears

Triple Crown Bouldering Series - Hound Ears
October 07, 2011 -  Ronnie Jenkins

Last weekend was the first leg of the Triple Crown Bouldering Series. The first stop was Hound Ears in Banner Elk, NC. The event started off with registration and vendor fair Friday night. Everyone was super psych on the cold temps for the comp. More and more people were asking questions and giving praises of the new Five Ten shoes. The next morning we woke up before the rooster could crow and setup the demo fleet at Hound Ears. It was super cold and all of a sudden it started to snow. The topouts were completely soaked and they...
