Winter Time - Isabelle Faus

Winter Time - Isabelle Faus
October 26, 2011 -

Two days ago in Boulder it was 75 degrees and sunny, now theres 8 inches of snow on the ground. For me that means winter has come and its time to start trying hard boulders! On November 1st I will be making my way down to the south to compete in the last leg of the Triple Crown at Horse Pens 40. After that I will be hanging out in Chattanooga for the rest of the month, working and climbing. There is plenty of climbing for me to do down there so I should be kept pretty busy!...

Shelf Road Trip - Urs Moosmuller

Shelf Road Trip - Urs Moosmuller
October 26, 2011 -

The original plan this weekend was to compete in The Spot’s Psychedelia competition last saturday night, but at the last minute my friend got off work for the weekend and we planned a trip to Shelf Road. Shelf road is one of the closest limestone areas with a wide selection of climbing from 5.6 to 5.14. The limestone is a little looser and dirtier than the limestone climbing in Wyoming, but it still holds a lot of classic lines.

Nina Williams Sends Two V10's in a day
October 25, 2011 -

A couple weekends ago I traveled to Joe's Valley with intention to forget the real world for awhile in the desert. We were a little worried at first since the weather called for snow and rain, but we lucked out big time with just chilly - I mean, SENDING temps! The sandstone was at perfect grip-to-skin ratio, the sun said hello but didn't bake our motivation away, and the Food Ranch donuts were incredible as always. In fact I could probably credit the donuts for my sends of Resident Evil and Fingerhut, both in a day and my firsts...

Off the scale in China - Steve Mcclure

Holy s***. This place is insane! China. A country just over the edge of the radar. A little exploration here and there. But it is vast, and only just opening up. Are we in for a surprise as the view unfolds! People talk of our rock running out, but here in China we have not even begun. The Petzl rock trip is beginning at the area of Getu, a national park, only opened up maybe 10 years ago. Before that the only eyes that passed over the mind blowing scenery were that of the locals. But we...

Up and Down, Back and Forth - Chris Schulte

Up and Down, Back and Forth - Chris Schulte
October 25, 2011 -

A quick trip up north turned out to be a great plan. The cooler weather and abundance of stone was a much needed boost. Fall is in full effect up in the Durango area, with a diverse palette smeared across the mountainsides, from fading greens to yellows, oranges and rusty reds in the scrub oak, to the bright yellow aspens up high, leaves fluttering and flashing in the wind like doubloons. Nights are getting cold up there, and the days are pleasant, maybe in the mid-60s during the “heat of the day”...

Dawn Wall project on El Cap - Kevin Jorgeson

Dawn Wall project on El Cap - Kevin Jorgeson
October 24, 2011 -

A little over a week ago, I sustained a season ending ankle injury while climbing on pitch 15 of the Dawn Wall project on El Cap. There's not much more to say than that. I'm extremely disappointed to not be on the wall right now, pursuing this dream project and supporting Tommy.
