Harder than the Bread on a Bocadillo! - Ben Spannuth

Harder than the Bread on a Bocadillo! - Ben Spannuth
March 21, 2012 -

For the last few years, since seeing photos of Humildes pa Casa and a clip of Chris on Pachamama, Oliana has been at the top of my climbing areas to visit.  With long, distinct lines and amazing movement it’d be hard to find a route on the wall that isn’t worth traveling the world to climb.

Spring in Spain - Mayan Smith-Gobat

Spring in Spain - Mayan Smith-Gobat
March 21, 2012 -

A month in Spain really is not enough! I feel like I am just learning to sport climb again and it almost time to leave... I am becoming totally that we really need to two days for every one. There are simply too many routes to climb, too many places to visit, too many experiences not to be missed, and simply too much psych to be contained in one lifetime!

Youth Bouldering Nationals 2012 - Francesca Metcalf
March 21, 2012 -  Francesca Metcalf

My last Youth Bouldering Nationals were held a few weeks ago, and I have to say that I am so sad it’s over. I’ve looked forward to going to this competition every year since I was 11. It’s pretty sad, and a little scary, saying goodbye to that stage of my life.

Out of Arkansas - Chris Schulte

Out of Arkansas - Chris Schulte
March 21, 2012 -

We’re pulling out of Arkansas in the middle of a storm that appears to stretch from Mexico to Canada. The weather, though hot, has been pretty fair for the most part, even a bit of wind as this storm approached. This was my second trip to Arkansas, and like my first, the weather was unseasonably warm, but not enough to shut us down entirely. Again we visited a handful of unique crags, and again I was surprised by the similarity of some of the sandstone in Arkansas to the sandstone I climbed on in southern Colorado when I first...

If Only - Ryan Silven

If Only - Ryan Silven
March 21, 2012 -  Ryan Silven

Exactly one year ago today I returned from my first trip to Fontainebleau, France. If I had my way I never would have left. I took some footage from the trip and together with Jon Glassberg and Alton Richardson we made a little movie of my time there. There wasn't any rhyme or reason to the boulders I filmed, they were just things that looked nice, or were different than the standard Font fare, or I just happened to have the camera ready. The pictures in this post are courtesy of France and it's beautiful pastoral countryside. ...

Should Have Gone Climbing - Jen Vennon

Should Have Gone Climbing - Jen Vennon
March 21, 2012 -

Last weekend I had the opportunity to get outside and go climbing and I didn’t take it. Dumb I know.Instead I decided to stay home and work on a nagging bathroom revamp that had been dragging on and seriously needed finishing. I hated to spend a perfect sunny day spackling, painting, and fiddling with wires but it had to get done.
