A month in Spain really is not enough! I feel like I am just learning to sport climb again and it almost time to leave... I am becoming totally that we really need to two days for every one. There are simply too many routes to climb, too many places to visit, too many experiences not to be missed, and simply too much psych to be contained in one lifetime!

My last Youth Bouldering Nationals were held a few weeks ago, and I have to say that I am so sad it’s over. I’ve looked forward to going to this competition every year since I was 11. It’s pretty sad, and a little scary, saying goodbye to that stage of my life.

The weather, though hot, has been pretty fair for the most part, even a bit of wind as this storm approached. This was my second trip to Arkansas, and like my first, the weather was unseasonably warm, but not enough to shut us down entirely. Again we visited a handful of unique crags, and again I was surprised by the similarity of some of the sandstone in Arkansas to the sandstone I climbed on in southern Colorado when I first...

Last weekend I had the opportunity to get outside and go climbing and I didn’t take it. Dumb I know.Instead I decided to stay home and work on a nagging bathroom revamp that had been dragging on and seriously needed finishing. I hated to spend a perfect sunny day spackling, painting, and fiddling with wires but it had to get done.

I was really psyched to head down, it was my first trip of the season. I also wanted to know where I was at, as far as training. The sport season has just begun for me, considering ABS Nationals ended just a few weeks ago. Training for rope has been intense so far, I don't have much time before Adult SCS Nationals in early April.

Monday I was back at it again; I went skiing with my dad. We got a ton of turns in...
