Stonelands VCS Review - Jessa Goebel

Stonelands VCS Review - Jessa Goebel
October 08, 2012 -

Don't know how, but the designers at Five Ten did it again. The ultimate blend of comfort and performance has been created and is the Stonelands series. New for spring 2013 the Stonelands series comes in a lined leather slipper (brown), a synthetic Cowdura lace up (white), and a lined leather velcro (red) version. Built on an entirely new last called the 'Firsten Last', the fit allows the toes to lay flat or slightly curled. The rubber is stiff to keep the shoe from getting soft, in turn allowing ultimate comfort without sacrificing performance. Over the last...

Rocktoberfest 2012: Congradulations RRGCC!! - Jessa Goebel
October 08, 2012 -

HUGE success for the RRGCC as they paid off the Pendergrass-Murry Recreational Preserve! This includes areas from the Motherlode to Drive-By to Purgatory and is home of some of the best of the Red. The Rocktoberfest event over the weekend was a celebration marking the success in the PMRP land acquisition. Over 700 were in attendance and well exceeded the goal of $30k for the climbing area. Friday night kicked off with a presentation from Petzl athlete Emily Harrington, followed by the Reel Rock 7 film. Patagoina helped people vote for the environment and write...

Surreality - Garrett Gregor

Surreality - Garrett Gregor
October 08, 2012 -

I never imagined I'd be where I'm at today. I can remember the incessant nagging from my father about how rock climbing was just a hobby and that I should focus on something that would actually benefit me. I tried working for him. I tried working at a restaurant, a lawyer's office, a retailer - none of them seemed to fit. I finally committed to climbing about three years ago when I made the emotional journey from where I grew up in Southern California to the welcoming arms of Boulder, Colorado. I didn't know what I was going to...

Organica (sit start) In the Orange Wall - Ferran Guerrero Hervas
October 08, 2012 -

I had to try, do boulder vover I mean, but we do not learn, still hot, very hot, too hot, call me maniac, but I like that the temperature is very cold, like years, where you had to take the jacket feather, liner gloves and hat before an attempt at a route or boulder, but on Saturday it was not, it was like being in the middle of July. But as I say we will not learn to do boulder full sun, this time playing close to home, so close that I was not supposed to walk around, a small...

Montgrony Arrives Autumn - Ferran Guerrero Hervas

Montgrony Arrives Autumn - Ferran Guerrero Hervas
October 08, 2012 -

Por fin llega el otoño, por fin empieza a refrescar, por fin empiezo con la rutina del entrenamiento que había dejado y que ahora retomo con ganas.Starting to smell fall back to Montgrony again Sector Mal Pas, where Joan was left Samsahara about a week ago and I was eager to try the last one, which I left to do the Kela's Obsession, I found a way of ten stars, very well equipped, very well sought a route, a good job of outfitters.

UBC Pro Tour Comp (Part 4 of 4) - Natasha Barnes

UBC Pro Tour Comp (Part 4 of 4) - Natasha Barnes
October 06, 2012 -

The SBC Pro has come and gone. I ended up in 19th which is not as good as I wanted. My shoulder definitely held me back and there is nothing I can do about that. At least I was able to compete. I had a great time at the competition anyway. Things that I liked most about this competition? 1. The gym was AMAZING. It had beautiful Walltopia walls that were very well made and put together. Iso was an entire bouldering area in itself and was by far the best warm up area of...
