2 days ago, I felt at the really last move where you can fall on "50 words for pumps" 8c+. First, I was really upset to be able to make such a big mistake but then I realized that I have jumped a step on my mind. The route became "maybe possible" to "really realizable". After my try, we went to an other sector, "chocolate factory"where Jacopo wanted to try "pure imagination". Adam was there too and he was waiting to try onsight "golden ticket". Before his try i talked a bit with him and he said "i feel...
October was an amazing month. The temps are finally starting to drop during October. Also, Competition season is just around the corner. During this past summer, I started training for competition season and also for climbing outside. Training anywhere from ten to twenty hours each week, I started to push through to the next level.
The filming for my FREE full-length mountain bike film is coming along very well! Alchemy is a full-length mountain bike film that is exclusively supported by Chromag. The release date for the movie is being pushed forward to SPRING. The movie will be released online for free and will be downloadable. The idea around the movie was to film all of my friends from BC, and only in BC. All of the mountain bike movies that are being released right now are high budget and trying to tell some elaborate story. Alchemy is a bike film...
This weekend took place the first European Youth Championship ever and after an unsuccessful WCH in Singapore, I really wanted to take my revenge! This is what I did, taking the gold medal! It was a long day, waking up at 5.30 am and climbing the finals at 9.00 pm. The qualifications went surprising good, as I was the only one topping out both routes. The other Belgians climbed well too as we were 5 finalists! The finals were great with a good ambiance, big crowd, light effects and for my part a nice route! When I read the route I...
I found a new favorite local climbing spot in the San Francisco Bay Area - Mortar Rock. Indian Rock is more popular, but Mortar Rock is worth checking out. It’s always fun to find cool local places to climb. A couple weekends ago, my climbing buddy Nick Bradley, introduced me to Mortar Rock. It’s just up the hill from Indian Rock in Berkeley. Indian Rock has lots of high balls but Mortar Rock is not as scary. I sent 2 V4s, 2 V5s and a V6 called Black Plague. Black Plague ends with 2 reachy “cheese...
Less badly that I climbed everything what I wanted and more in summer ... because it knew that the autumn would come full of work, (professional) projects and other histories that would not leave me to touch the rock too much... The truth is that scarcely I have climbed this October, a few inconveniences in a shoulder and a finger have served me to centre on other things that it had hanging and like that to give a little rest to the body. Now, already re-put after a few sessions of fisium and little rest, I've started to train...
