Active Climbing Weeks in Chamonix - Martina Cufar

Active Climbing Weeks in Chamonix - Martina Cufar
August 14, 2013 -

Last weeks were very active climbing wise. The weather was a bit moody, so we couldn’t go in the granite of Mont Blanc massive whenever we wanted (there was a period of strong SW wind) so we had to search for some alternative multipitch routes in the limestone lower down.

Turns out I’m a pretty terrible procrastinator. I’ve decided that’s why I’m drawn to climbing, production and traveling. These are things that demand you to be in the moment, make decision without hesitation, trust your gut instinct and inevitably learn from the fuckups they sometimes lead to.I spent my entire summer practicing positive thought, not taking anything too seriously and letting life pull my focus in the right direction for this moment in time. I tried to make sure I didn’t do the same thing I do every summer on the Western Slope, which is obsess about a rock...

Back in Boulder - Isabelle Faus

Back in Boulder - Isabelle Faus
August 13, 2013 -

I have been back in Colrado for about a week now. I have been climbing a lot, going to Chaos Canyon and Lincoln Lake quite a bit. The hikes are pretty intense in colorado, but the areas are always worth it; so many amazing problems every where, and many more to be found and done. South Africa was similar. Rocklands has an endless amount of already established boulders and hundreds of boulders that are still waiting to be cleaned and sent. We rarely went back to boulders we had already tired because there was just so...

I am once again behind on my blog. This has been due to an overwhelming amount of awesomeness. Last I wrote we just arrived in Colorado. Since then we climbed in Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder Canyon, Rifle and Maple. We also went to the Outdoor Retailer. I will go back and write a post about all of that, but first I need to address the most amazing competition ever hosted on planet earth. The Psicobloc Master Series.Psicobloc, if you have not heard already, is a deep water soloing competition first held in Bilbao, Spain. Chris Sharma wanted to...

Kochel is Always Good! - Christian Muench
August 12, 2013 -  Muench

After a long time (about 4 weeks) without contact to any rock out there due to my exams at university, the last week was such a pleasure for me, even if I didn't get very far away climbing in my homearea at Kochel. Just the day after my last exam, I had a great day showing my mum how addicting it is to climb on rock and she was fully impressed - I'm so proud of her :)The next days I could feel how much pressure fell off me having holidays now and no uni at the moment. So...

As many Five Ten athletes have already alerted the masses, there was a pretty amazing competition held in Park City, UT last week. I remember first learning of the event on Facebook a few months before. Deep water solo competition! 50 foot wall above a pool of water at the Olympic Park in Park City. How could I resist? I have fallen out of the competition scene in the last few years. After over 12 years of competition, I burnt out from the stress, the training and the injuries. I have instead chosen to focus my goals in outdoor...
