You just don’t know what to write about. I was feeling that a while back so reached out to some friends looking for help with a topic. A friend that I first started climbing with back in Winnipeg, Manitoba suggested I write about my early days and transitioning from going from a smaller competition scene to being one of the top Canadian climbers now.As I’ve suggested so far, originally I wasn’t from Calgary, Alberta... I was from the flat of the flatlands, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Everyone always asks how I managed...

It’s quite different having comps start this early for those of us in Western Canada. Typically at this point, we’ve only had 1-2 fun comps. Competition came to an end in the speed world cup 2012 series. Five Ten athlete Edyta Ropek after last event in Mokpo was classified at fourth position in WC ranking. She is the best non Russian athlete throughout the all cycle. This was also for her breaking through season, as she managed to climb in 8,90 second during WCh in Paris – it’s her personal best, and one off the countless results in the world.
