Finally Feeling Fully Healed! - Sam Hayden

Finally Feeling Fully Healed! - Sam Hayden
August 26, 2013 -

I'm finally feeling back up to the strength I was at before I broke my tibia last August. I can't believe it's taken this long. Throughout the entire process I have kept climbing but the leg never felt like it was back up to speed until now. Comp season for bouldering last fall was a wash due to the broken bone and then I came down with a bug at regionals and attempted to climb with a high fever...didn't work out so well! The last 6 months I've been focused on getting back up to full strength,...

A trip you cant say no to and a crew you love to death. This is the trip I am on for 100 days, touring across North America to 10 of the most well known climbing areas. Partnered with Epic TV and LT11 we are filming a 10 video series filled with climbing, epics, humor and shenanigans! The first episode is from my local crag "Rumney,NH" This was a great warm up for us as a crew and a good way to start the trip with the take down of a few projects. Check out the video and follow...

Frontier of Boulders - Davin Bagdonas

Bouldering is my way of life and a way I’m unsure I could ever actually survive without. It is such a constant and a balancer of living I wonder if I could be anything else? I wrote an essay for the Wind River Bouldering Guide (Lander Bouldering) after a bit of self-discovery in reviewing the past years in Wyoming mountains “Those are the places I continually visited during the period of life attempting to become something that I would grow up to be. Working at growing up to become something is tiring. Respite came for me in...

Because of the intensive strength training I became mentally stronger and I managed to keep going. Climbing the Super Trail was two years a goal. The achievement is fun. Valuable is what I have learned and new experiences. I learned to use training / nutrition / mental and recovery. The four pillars of FGC By each pillar to give equal attention and take action toward my goals with passion I became mentally better.

World Cup Lessons - Erica Carlson

World Cup Lessons - Erica Carlson

After a rough comp, you can do one of two things. You can figure out what you did wrong and see how you can improve it. Or, you can be a grouch about it. Typically, I’m pretty good at learning from a poor comp and making sure I’m not grouchy about it. I can’t say that was the case though for the Boulder World Cup in Vail... I was a grouch trying to learn and learning is nowhere near as easy when you’re frustrated.I think the reason I was frustrated was because the comp emphasized a style of climbing...
