The last few days I’ve been back in good ole Galt, CA to do some family stuff. Kinda bummed to have left  a sweet travel setup in Spain and numerous projects early but it’s nice to be back in Galt for a bit as well. In order of do-ability, from a few more tries to probably never, here are the top few things I and would like to return to in Spain:

For the last few years, since seeing photos of Humildes pa Casa and a clip of Chris on Pachamama, Oliana has been at the top of my climbing areas to visit.  With long, distinct lines and amazing movement it’d be hard to find a route on the wall that isn’t worth traveling the world to climb.

Time is flying by quicker than I’d like it to be here in Spain. I am now at the mid-mark of my trip to the Cataluna region and I have not even scraped the exterior layer of the abundance of climbs to do here. There are thousands of beautiful lines to still climb and a generous handful of areas around where I am that I’ve still not been to. Guess what? I am… back on the plane! You know that you’re a frequent flyer when you have each airplane’s complimentary magazine dialed from front to back and then back to front, and have completed all of the Sudoku and Crossword Puzzles included in them. Desert, mountains, beautiful boulders, psyched friends and endless splitter days… What more could one ask for? This pretty much sums up my stay in Bishop! After barely bouldering at all for the last five years, over the last month in Bishop I really discovered the joys of bouldering. The simple pleasure of doing a short sequence of moves, being able to focus purely on individual movements. This past week I have sampled some of America’s western sport climbing destinations including the VRG, Cathedral, and Moe’s Valley in Southern Utah, and also Jailhouse in the California Bay Area.
