Today I finally got to jump off of Looking Glass Rock. I have been wanting this jump for over a year now! It's taken a lot of time for me to muster up the courage to jump this 124 ft object! It was such an amazing rush to finally accomplish this jump and I was happy to share the experience with some of my favorite people.
After working a night shift at the hospital in Salt Lake City, I drove down to Moab and was able to squeeze in a Jump off of a 170 ft cliff! Because it was such a short cliff, I had my friend Richard hold my PC while I jumped to ensure a quick opening. It's always great to finish off a long work night with a good jump to reset my mind :)
Thanksgiving is a special time of year for BASE jumpers. The annual Turkey Boogie is in full swing in Moab, UT! A day out at Mineral Bottom Canyon is full of super packed truck rides up the switchbacks, cliffs as far as the eye can see and tons of friends around to play! Nothing like some unpacked jumps for saving time and maximizing jump numbers!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

It was amazing to be looking at the cliff upside-down while a giant Wing flew right over me!
The world's best event held ever before in the history of the world! 450 BASE jumpers. Thousands of spectators. People rappelling the 874ft bridge, 6 rescue boats, everyone having tons and tons of fun. Big props to the tandem base guys and all of the brave ones who made their first base jump at bridge day. A special thanks to Red Bull and Curtis Ferguson for the hospitality. I will be back! Here is a video and a few more words about the weekend:
I climbed the West Ridge of the Eiger with my friend Ivo Ninov. We weren’t expecting the Eiger to be climbable so both of us hadn’t packed any alpine gear. We navigated our way up the icy face, wearing blue jeans and sneakers. Lucky for us we did have some gear; we both had Fiveten shoes and Stealth, the stickiest rubber on earth, on our feet. Ivo was pretty much styling with his high top ‘Insights’. He strutted through some snowy sections and even kicked a few steps. I on the other hand, well foot,...
