So, after my trip to China, All the other jumpers went their separate ways- sad to say goodbye to old and new friends as they departed for their homes in Russia, Chile, Norway, Sweden, Canada, US, New Zealand, Australia, (you get the picture) until the next time we get to meet up again in a different place near a different object that we get to fall off of. (It's a weird sport when you think about it...) So I spent a few days by myself exploring more of China, had a long layover in Guangzhou where I treated myself...

I have never been to China before- had a tease last year when a similar event was planned and I was invited, but then was cancelled last minute. So this time, when I started getting a string of emails with official invitations from the Hunan Government I was hopeful it would actually happen this time. With things ‘like this,’ you never really know- my world is filled with lots of really great ideas, fantastical assurances about lifetime trips and reality tv series’ so you have to take everything with a grain of salt. However, once in a while it...
It was cool to do a recorded interview with Joe over at Outside Online. Some of my answers are long, but it is cool that they were published word for word rather than writer's summary. Thanks Joe Spring and thanks for the photos Michi Portmann!
Here's a little compilation of my friends and I jumping at the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho. This is the only bridge in the US that it is legal to jump off at any time. It stands at 480 feet and is one of the most popular BASE jumping spots around. Jumpers come from all over the world to make their first jumps, learn new tricks and dial in aerials. Bridges are arguably the safest objects. Unlike cliffs, antennas and buildings, an off-heading opening (having your parachute open any direction other than forwards) doesn't require instant action to...
A few weeks ago, Go Pro and Harley Davidson called me and proposed the following: How would you like to ride a Harley from Seattle to Sturgis in 4 days with other athletes Chad Kagy, Brian Lopes, Eric Jackson, Aaron Chase and others. Bottom line: Open road. Great people. Mountain Biking, Kayaking, Skydiving, and partying. How could I say no?! Sign me up. Such a killer trip and amazing experience. A huge Thanks goes out to Go Pro, Harley Davidson, and the Schauf Brothers for making my first Sturgis experience happen....
