Checking in from the road! I had the pleasure to take the FiveTen adventure mobile on the road for a few weeks on a massive BASE jumping safari through the western United States. Starting in Seattle, fellow BASE jumper and badass Braden Dean and I moved into our temporary home (a sick Mercedes Sprinter vans all FiveTen'ed up) and started driving down the coast. First stop, Lodi California for some skydiving. Skydiving is a crucial part of BASE jumping and is a really great opportunity to get current and practice wingsuit flying. The dropzone in Lodi is...
Starting June 21st, The Showdown includes jumping from 2 buildings, the Skyport- 120 meters and the Sapphire Tower- 236 meters. While jumping from these building, the athletes will be performing stunts including multi-way jumps and aerial maneuvers. In addition to that, they will also be competing in a spot landing competition from the Sapphire Tower Building. To top it all off, the competitors will be jumping from a heli over the Goldern Horn- whether with a wingsuit or a swim suit, it is sure to be entertaining!!!
In March I decided to give back to the sport of skydiving and give back to the skydiving center that helped me reach this level in the sport by becoming an official Load Organizer at Skydive Arizona. I used to Load Organize back in the day at Skydive AZ and it opened up many doors and opportunities in the sport like becoming a coach and achieving more than 1500 skydives per year. Well I am back at it and having more fun than ever taking people from around the world and making sure they receive a first class jumping...
Well, now that the winter has slowly come to an end, the warm weather is more than welcome for me here in Utah. This weekend I was able to head down to central Utah, Moab to be exact for some BASE jumping and summer-like atmosphere...and most importantly, trade-in my Dalbello ski boots for my Five Ten 5/10 Dome hiking shoes. I can not describe how amazing it felt to be back at Mineral Bottom, Castle Valley and the surrounding Moab red rock play land. I am ready to turn back around and head straight back there...
I am just returning from my first trip to Central Asia, Kazakhstan to be specific. I was there with Espen Fadnes shooting with Warren Miller for their next ski movie. We had some good fun speed riding with my new Mutant 11 with Five Ten logo
