Ahhhh the sweet smell of new climbing shoes. Definitely one of my favorites smells in the world, yesterday my new climbing shoes came in just in time for my Spring Break trip. With a new pair of my beloved Dragons as well as some new Team's which I am very excited to get climbing in tomorrow I am more excited then ever to be leaving today for Joes Valley. After having some great training sessions at the Spot these past weeks it is finally just about time to get in the car to make the long drive to Joes...
The US Pro GRT's first stop was in Boulder City, NV at Bootleg Canyon. The infamous Brent Thompson trails are still going strong with the Race Course coming down Snakeback to Kavorkian and finishing with Diva. Dante and Jackie of Team Harmony have had an interesting off-season with a lot of work and not very much bike riding through the winter but now that the duo are both riding brand new Pivot Firebirds and Phoenixes, they are very excited to see what they can accomplish this race season. Reaper Madness is their first major race of the season...
Both photos are Leavenworth projects. Just after the first photo was taken I tore pulley in my finger. I had to take four months off of climbing. The second photo is from a project that a few of my friends have showed me. I am back and healthy can’t wait to finish up the projects when the snow melts.

Seattle Bike PT- Eric Moen as host. Jennie is a Silver medalist Track Cyclist from London 2012 in a new event called Team pursuit. Megan is a gold medalist...
This past week was pretty amazing. I got a new GT Fury and headed to the dessert for the first Pro GRT with my girlfriend, Allison Oliver and good friend Mikey Sylvestri. I took a few days off along the way to ride my new whip in Virgin, UT and Bootleg Canyon, NV. Thanks to Allison, we ended up with some fun shots that I thought I would share with the Five Ten nation.
I battled my first nationals of the year in a new division, male youth C. I ended up in 17 but learned a lot about resting between climbs and knowing when to stop to prepare for the next route. My coach said I climbed very smart. We knew nationals was going to be a struggle because I have put on 20 to 25 pounds since last year. I have gotten stockier while everyone else got taller. Since getting back from nationals I am working hard on nutrition, (eatting 5 times a day), Strength training and core/balance exercises along with...
