The temperatures are going up and the last moments of the winter are leaving room to the first days of spring. Fortunately I could still take a good saturday of friction in Varazze as I hoped. After the last session on “Gandalf il grigio” on saturday the 2nd I thought that there was not possibilities to come back to finish the problems, since the first heat was arriving. luckily, the weather for this last saturday looked dry and cold to attempt a climbing day there. Two days before, climate was sunny and I knew that my task would have...
Last week some friends and I went to Stinson, a town on the west coast of California, to go try a famous 8b/8b+ called Surf Safari. The perfect steep overhang the line is on is right next to the shoreline of the Pacific, which makes just being down there worthwhile. I warmed up on the easier moves of an 8a to the left of Surf Safari called Endless Bummer, which I later sent after I was warmed up. The next thing to do obviously was to get on Surf Safari. I got plenty of beta, and flashed every move...
Soon I could take the Saturday morning, but the two hours I could scarce were fruitful, and had stayed with Ignasi Saruka to spend the morning climbing up Savassona, but arrived later than agreed and I made ??up my time to leave, my duties in the study claimed me, but was good for two hours, which were ultimately more successful than I expected. I heated with easy blocks and went to block Morpheus, repeated therapy there, a tall block plate and technical climbing very English, the key step is to get up on a Pebble, I love this, is...

Besides having perfect English and negating my perceived perception that all Italians had dark hair, Gabriele stuck out in my mind from his incredible climbing performance. Gabri, as his close friends call him, was one of the only among a trove of talented athletes in attendance to send the Rock Trip’s “Ultimate Route” Coup de Bambou, 9a (14d). When I saw Gabri again this spring in Catalunya Spain he seemed...
Alright here's the review of my last comp, ABS Youth Nationals. Leading up to this comp, I stayed with the amazing hosts Nina Williams and Beau Kahler. Meagan and I were psyched to get to stay with them and to train during the week. After a couple trips to Movement Climbing + Fitness, CATS, and Team ABC's gym, I headed back out to Colorado Springs with a couple kids on my team and their mom. We got to the hotel, checked in, and I went to go register. Of course, I was so...
