We sent a pair of prototypes of our new High Top Anasazi with Josh Lagalo. He tested them on Couldn't Be Schmooter, a 5.9 on Winter Heat Wall on Kraft Mountain (Las Vegas, NV). Says Josh, “The Eclipse shoes tore up the pockets and edges on the Hershey chocolate rock.”

Joe Puryear was killed on Wed., October 27th while ascending Labuche Kang (7,367 meters, 24,170 feet) in a remote region of Tibet. It’s been raining the last few days and I am so psyched to rock climb that I’m about to rip the rafters off the ceiling of our apartment. Here is a little unedited clip of my best go on The Story of Two Worlds V15. This was after about 30 minutes working on the bottom. The right hand that I cut feet into is the start jug of The Dagger V14. Obviously, I’m going to need a little better control of that swing.
On October 16th, Minnesota was home to the biggest backyard bouldering competition in the country. The competition was held to raise funds for the Minnesota Bouldering Co-Op. You can find out more about the Minnesota Climbing Co-Op here. Over 80 people came with their crashpads to climb, eat, hang out and show their support for the new local business. The competition officially began at 1pm, and motivation was so high that it carried on into the night.
