As the venue of both World cup races and the Out of Bounds festival, Leogang (Austria) may well have been the centre of gravity sports during the last two weeks. As a conclusion, the second race of the iXS European Downhill Cup was held on Sunday. A total of 403 participants from 25 countries competed on what had been a World cup course one week earlier. 2.300 meters long and with a vertical drop of 480 meters, the course was largely the same as as at the Worldcup, but this time the weather was dry and thus the conditions...

"I had the senior schools rock climbing comp about a week ago and all my points would have added up to me coming second but since i am a junior i couldn't take a placing, i could only get points for our school team. My school team came second overall. I have the third round of the Nationals coming up in about a week down in Wellington."
Mark and Janelle Smiley's goal: To be the first people to climb all of the routes made famous by a book published in 1979, Fifty Classic Climbs of North America. Most recently completed: Mt. Rainier "The Smileys Project: Committed, continues with a successful climb of Liberty Ridge on Mt Rainier. The climb was amazing, all 10,000 vertical feet of it. Justin H. and Matt M. joined us for the climb. All told it took three days to get up and back down. Starting at the White River Campground we hiked into the Winthrop Glacier....
