Climbing the Automator (V13) in Rocky Mountain National Park is a huge accomplishment... But Five Ten® athlete Angie Payne has even more to be proud of.

This is likely the first time any woman has completed a solid V13! Great job Angie!!

Coming back from my trips to the Red, I have regained a psych for climbing that I have not felt since the first time I started climbing. The trips, even though some had their fair share of problems, still was to me some of the best time climbing I have ever done.

I have about two weeks left and more projects than i can even think about. The climbing here has been amazing, however, the weather the past few weeks has been quite miserable. The temperatures have risen many degrees and most days it is impossible to climb because it will reach 90F (32C) by mid day. The mornings are extremely humid and the evenings are hot. Though the weather has not cooperated completely it has been an awesome time down here over the course...

After a week here in Australia I've finally started to feel normal. Chris and I made the long drive to the Gramps and have set up camp. We are planning on staying for couple of weeks. So far the weather has been a bit rainy and the boulders a bit soggy. I'm hoping for the best.

"This is one of the best climbing shoes on the market and one of the most popular among experienced climbers. I call them my "secret weapons." For years I have reached for them every time I did a climb at my limit. What stands out is the precision edging these shoes have – I feel like I can stand confidently on just about anything." – Chris McNamara

The third round of the French Cup saw the craziest of weather... Oz-en-Oisans, where Tahnée had previously put in an amazing time in the Spint Avalanche a few weeks ago, turned into a complete mudfest, with the organizers having to change the course as it was deemed too dangerous.

I always a have a blast at these shows; from seeing a ton of friends you’ve met all over the world, to the fun dinners, lively comps and of course the sweet new line-up of awesome products. So, I’ve been back for over two… er, no sorry, three weeks now. What the heck have I been doing all this time except updating my blog and tweeting and facebooking and emailing!?! Well, I actually have been doing a lot of emailing, but I’ve also made two trip to the sierras to go sportclimbing- one day at the Column of the Giants and two days in Tuolumne. It’s sooo beautiful up there right now! And the valley will just keep getting better and better… but more on that later.

In an article titled "Back in Style: High-top Rock Shoes" spadout.com reviews the Five Ten Grandstone.

"New this year is the Grandstone, Five Ten’s only high-top. The forefoot is stiff, coated with rubber, and has a more chiseled toe than the JB. The narrow toe profile fits into all but the slimmest finger cracks. The Grandstone flexes generously under the arch and has a flat, asymmetric last, both of which allow it to conform to a climber’s foot."
