It’s been a while since my last blog post, been too busy studying and not climbing enough. I promised myself in the new year that I would try and get out on the grit one day a week, which I have kind of stuck. Early January we had the British Champs that took place in London. Timy Dutton stormed onto the Ski Scene in 2008 when we won his first and second Big Mountain comps ever. Since then Timy has gone on to compete on the worlds most prestige Freeride circuit and filmed segments in Ski Movies such as Warren Miller's and MSP. Although still young an a new name he is someone to watch for years to come.

16 year old Five Ten athlete Enzo Oddo completed The Beautiful and the Damned V13, a problem originally sent by fellow team 5.10 member Kevin Jorgeson. From an article on Rock and Ice: "The young French phenom was spotted by his father, who amongst a litter of crash pads made sure his son didn't hurt himself trying to complete the third ascent. Oddo's third ascent of The Beautiful and the Damned follows in the footsteps of such hard climbers as Jorgeson and Ethan Pringle."
Just a quick message to say I made my first 8c+ yesterday - Lover 2.1 in the Zillertal. Im really happy with this, and it puts me in good spirit for my return to England next month to try my project as I know I am in my best shape ever, by a long long way.
Carlo Traversi has made the 2nd ascent of Daniel Woods' The Game at Boulder canyon, CO. The FA was made a little more than a year ago aftermany sessions. I think Daniel spent 17 days or so on it.
