Last summer I met Pirmin and some friends in Ceüse. They just started their book project Passion Verticale, a book about the best rocks in Europa.
This year's Regionals was probably the best one yet. I first want to say that everyone at Planet Rock did a fantastic job setting the comp up, I appreciate all the time and effort they put into hosting such a great competition, and I also want to thank the DRCC for sponsoring the comp and for Vince DJ-ing the comp.
Shon Bollock and the Shasta Boyz are releasing trailers for their production Slippery When Wet. Matador Network has this to say about the crew's project: "Straight up. I love following these kids’ progressions. This crew is running stuff that makes the hardest shit we ran a decade ago (Big Creek, West Prong, the Green) look class III. The filmmaking techniques (particularly HD headcam POV) and storytelling gives you so much deeper of a sense of flow on the river and of these paddlers’ commitment to it. Bigup Shon, this looks really sweet"
Five Ten, along with Arcteryx, Black Diamond and Freeride-Map are hosting the Freeride Bar at the 2011 ISPO show in Munich, Germany. Party with DJ and drinks. I'm sure you have all seen the famous shots of Tom Cruise scaling the side of a Dubai skyscraper in the latest Mission Impossible movie. Well did you also know that Five Ten designed a custom shoe with a specially formulated rubber for Tom to use in this scene? Also on the set was Five Ten athlete Aaron Tague who consulted Tom Cruise, or "TC" as they call him on set. Backpacker.com caught up with Aaron at the recent OR Winter show in Salt Lake City to ask him a few questions about Five Ten's new rubber...
Sunday I finally got to go out bouldering, after periods with lots of rain. We went to probably the only dry place, Sirevåg. Both ciberman ad cyborg (both 7C) were dry, and I managed to do both:D Afterwards we wanted to climb more, but the problem we chose turned out to be wet, and it got dark. But the weather gets better and better! Cant wait to work on my projects!! :D See more pictures in my Norway Album. Therress
