Targasonne, Returns - Ferran Guerrero Hervas

Targasonne, Returns - Ferran Guerrero Hervas
December 05, 2011 -

With the excuse that it was the anniversary of Laia and Leti, we decided to rent a house in the middle of the town of Targasonne, where at other times we were treated very well, so where we would be better and incidentally was an excuse to celebrate and climbing toward Targasonne for two days.

Namaste 5.10, When this bloooog is reaching you, one of your boys is in India and try whatever it takes to push his climbing limits. although not so easy: the sun, the surrounding and many many other things are killing me and my buddies Ivan and Olli (both have mad skills...).

Cool temps, sunny skies, quieter crowds, and screeching Bald Eagles. This time of the year reminds me why I love to climb at Smith Rocks. Holds that felt impossible to hang on to a month ago, feel tacky and usable. I have spent the last few weeks putting my energy into Chemical Ali (14a). Chemical is a different type of route than Smith’s other 14a’s due to its powerful moves on fairly good holds. It requires more power than technical savvy, although there are still a few moves that still require a great deal of balance and technique. The...

Hey whats up Five Ten world? So I got my first shipment of Five Ten shoes in the mail last week on holy man I have missed these bad boys. My toes are sticking to whatever I want them to, heals lock in hard and not to mention the Atlas Pamplona are kick ass. Is that memory foam in the shoe? My feet are stained red from the Moccasym to the point of almost being as red as the Pomplona. Next week I am going to break out the Team shoes and see what all the raving ranting...

A perfect recipe needs all the right ingredients. Miss some out and what you get might still be good but not quite right. The perfect climbing trip needs a lot of ingredients to come together. Good climbing most important, but feels empty without good people, beautiful surroundings and a comfy place to crash.

Red River Gorge - Urs Moosmuller

Red River Gorge - Urs Moosmuller
December 01, 2011 -

We started our trip to the red by driving 20 hours through the night with four drivers and made it to Miguel’s pizza by noon. Immediately after arriving we got directions to the drive-by crag and headed there to finally climb on the world class sandstone. With three hours of sleep and no food the whole day we started on the classic warm-up Breakfast Burrito 10d. Then moved onto Primus Noctum 12a, Whipper Snapper 12b, and Kaleidoscope 13c. The red is a very unique area, because its a safe crag were you can have a lot of fun....
